Technological jobs generally pay much more than typical jobs. For example, the Bureau of Labor Statistics claims that the median annual salary for computer and computer jobs in May 2021 was $ 97,430, more than double the average annual salary for all professions ($ 45,760).
DICE of the Technical Career Market said that in 2021 the average technological salary in the United States reached a record of $ 104,566, an increase of 6.9% compared to the previous year. As Crane notes, the range of specialties in the technological sector includes the development of applications, artificial intelligence, cyber security, database management and software development.
“It is an area with a lot of growth potential,” says Crane.
Moreover, Crane emphasizes that many technology workers benefit from great flexibility in terms of remote working calendars. A study in 2021 by the IT research and consultancy company, Gartner, identified flexibility – namely working hours and locations – such as productivity key with digital employees around the world.
Mobley also notes that a technological career enables someone to apply his skills in a rapid and constantly evolving industry, so that you will rarely get bored.
